Smart Health Foundation
The commons.
The Smart Health Foundation is a public charity that funds the shared, precompetitive layer of the network — the common infrastructure that benefits everyone and is owned by no one. It receives and redistributes philanthropic and mission-aligned capital toward that purpose.
What the Foundation does
- Receives philanthropic and mission-aligned capital.
- Redistributes it to fund the shared, precompetitive layer of the network.
- Stewards the common resources the network depends on.
Part of a structure built so no one party is in control: the Smart Health Council sets the rules, Smart Health Network PBC operates the network, the Smart Health Trust represents patients, and the Foundation stewards shared resources.
